Have a positive impact by teaching Spanish speaking students preparing to take their High School Equivalency Test (Hi-Set) and gain their high school diploma! Tutors meet weekly with students. Students are adult latino immigrants and the classes are taught in Spanish. Hence we are looking for tutors with strong Spanish speaking skills who are bilingual. Classes may be in-person, online, or a mix of both, TBD. All curriculum and materials are provided, and sessions would require minimal outside prep. Tutors must have a high school diploma or higher education degree. Prior teaching or tutoring experience is preferred, but not required. For the fall semester we are specifically looking for tutors who can handle HSE Math and Science. If tutors have experience in either of those subjects that would be beneficial and preferred.
Your work will truly make a difference in the lives of LALDEF students and will help them gain the knowledge that they need reach their full potential!
