Mission Statement

Our main goal is to help nurture smart, healthy and self-sufficient youth within our community. We believe that our youth has a voice which needs to be heard and valued in the community; that everyone deserves to have someone in their corner. We believe that goals and dreams are admirable and are to be stimulated. We believe that young people need to have character development encouraged, taught, and lived out by example. We believe that there should be a safe, fun, empowering environment for our youth to grow and develop. And that the basic needs of our youth need to be met if we expect them to function in the community in a healthy manner. We believe it takes a village to raise a child. Therefore, Pro Youth Recreation and Family Center is not only here for our youth but for parents and the community alike.

Description

Our team came together to create a community center for all community members. We’re a non-profit organization designed to provide classes, lessons and recreation services for our Staten Island community. We host a wide range of services for participants ages 6 and older such as CPR classes, financial literacy, homework help lessons and woodshop activities. We’re giving back to our community by offering these services free of charge. We’ve started a few community service acts and hope to expand even further in the future.
