Team Assistants come from all walks of life and backgrounds, and don’t need prior experience... we provide the necessary training and resources. Time commitment for a Team Assistant is approximately 1-2 hours per week for 8-10 weeks, usually on week nights or weekends, plus 1-2 days at a sports competition during a sports season.
Those looking for real, on-the-field Action can get in the game by joining Special Olympics Unified Sports(r), where people with and without intellectual disabilities train and compete together on the same team. There is no better way to truly experience Special Olympics than playing alongside the athletes.
We'll work with your schedule.
