We are looking for a business or group that would like to "adopt our school" and sponsor a winter gift for individual students. Students that attend our school have a range of ability levels and are all served for special education needs. Some come from families in need of support. We would like to provide the students with a chance to make a "wish list" for a gift of about $10-15 that members of a business could go out and shop for. They would be able to receive a "winter gift" before they left for winter break during the holiday season. Currently we serve about 50 students ranging from ages 5 to 21.

Description
Intermediate School District 917 serves the low incidence needs of special education students from our member school districts in the southeastern metropolitan area. Students are referred to us by their home school districts.
This program provides services to all students with unique needs who require a low student-to-staff ratio. The SUN program offers students the opportunity to work on academics as well as functional, transition, and social skills.
