Blue Heron Nature Preserve is seeking a small group of volunteers to assist with restoring the meadow habitat spaces along our outdoor trails. As the weather is becoming increasingly cooler, we will be removing many of the plants and flora which seasonally bloomed during the summer, but have now died back. This project will entail working outdoors to pull, cut, and remove large plants, as well as general trail maintenance and clean up. We will be working from 9am - 12pm on Saturday, December 1st. The Blue Heron Nature Preserve 501(c)(3) is a nonprofit organization which manages a 30-acre greenspace located in north Atlanta in partnership with the City of Atlanta Parks Department. The Preserve was founded in 2000 with the vision of being a haven for nature in an urban environment. Our mission is to create a personal experience in nature for everyone through engagement, preservation, education, research and advocacy.
