Hospice of the Bluegrass provides the highest quality end-of-life care to terminally ill patients and their families. Volunteers are considered part of the interdisciplinary team and they offer a variety of services to our patients. Hospice of the Bluegrass serves 32 counties across KY.
Volunteers serve as companions to patients, provide respite care to the caregivers and transportation for patients and families.
Volunteers are required to complete full Hospice training, provide 2 personal references, submit to a criminal background check and complete a two-part TB skin test. (TB skin test only required for patient care volunteers.)
