I believe everyone's lives matter until the end, and as God's children, it is our responsibility to make life the best it can be, for however long that is. We may do this by offering conversation, a cup of tea, or just simply by holding a hand. Volunteers are perceived by patients and families as caring members of their local community. This relationship provides a feeling of normality.

From a volunteer stand point I cannot tell you what an amazing gift it is, when a patient looks at you and says, "Thank you for taking the time to get to know me".

We have so many opportunities for you to make a difference. We need patient visitors, individuals to assist with life reviews, talented people to sew, crochet or knit blankets and booties, and individuals that would be interested in assisting with fun activities like games and providing treats.
