The SoulDeevas Performing Arts Company is looking for an experienced and creative instructor to serve as an inaugural coach for our Girls' Modern/Liturgical Dance Team. We anticipate holding auditions for the team in March and will include girls in grades 4 to 8. The team will practice for three Saturdays each month from 11:30am to 1:30pm OR 1:30pm to 3:30pm in Midtown Manhattan (35th St/8th Ave).
The SoulDeevas are being trained to represent the Northeast in a variety of genres, emphasizing scholarship, sisterhood and soul. We need someone who can jump in right away and make the commitment to June, 2019. The goal is to attract about 10 girls and we need someone who will be a coach and a mentor to the team.
Coaches with experience in ballet, modern/contemporary or liturgical dance are welcomed to apply. Candidates should be self-starters, energetic and creative!

Friends of MJHS ("Friends") is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation organized for the purpose of generating contributions, pledges and funds for the development and ongoing support of Citadel Academy Prep School (CAPS), a school that will provide students in grades 6-8 with a high quality Christian education through a well balanced, yet challenging curriculum that ministers to the spirit, soul and body.
Friends will also provide funds, management and ongoing support of The SoulDeevas Performing Arts Company, a character building sports and arts program that will serve all youth regardless of their religious affiliation. The SoulDeevas will include programs that provide activities, resources and support during critical out-of-school time hours in a safe, nurturing environment that works from a strengths-based, youth development perspective.
