Safe Harbor Family Crisis Center has been serving victims of domestic violence since 1990. We serve over 600 people in the Knox County area per year. Since we are a not-for-profit, we rely heavily on volunteers to help us keep our doors open to those in need.

If you choose to complete the 40-hour domestic violence training, volunteers may spend time... taking shifts on the 24-hour crisis line, running client paperwork at court hearings, attending court proceedings, and facilitating adult or children's support group.

We are also seeking volunteers to be mentors in our SHINE mentor program. Mentors must be able to commit to meeting with their child once or twice a month for a 1-year time span. This helps to establish a trusting relationship between the mentor and the child. This is a very fulfilling volunteer role!

Volunteers also help us sort through donations and plan and run special events. If you would like to make a difference in our community, talk to us today!
