ORGANIZATION: Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas

This position will take responsibility for designing and implementing a vocational ESL curriculum, leaning on the support of an encouraging volunteer team and supervisors to succeed. By creating relevant course activities, adapting curriculum to suit the needs of refugee and immigrant students, and bringing their own skills and ESL knowledge, this volunteer will not only build their experience and resume, but help refugees to feel more confident with their English skills in the workplace and improve employer satisfaction with communication in the workplace. Overall this will lead to refugees becoming more self-sufficient, which is one of the main goals of Catholic Charities’ Refugee and Immigration Services. Training will be provided.

Training will take place in Kansas City, KS
Primary Site for volunteer will be Eudora, KS
