The REACH Foundation

Since our inaugural year in 2013, Shop With A Cop has been continuously growing and has provided 1,500+ children and their families in Connecticut an opportunity for a better holiday season.

Each participating child is paired with a participating law enforcement officer where they shop for themselves, their families, and an identified child from the community where the officer serves. The program begins with a "meet and greet" over dinner and entertainment followed by a Police procession with flashing lights to the host store, Target. Once everyone arrives, the children are paired again with their "Partner" and begin their one on one shopping experience. Once finished, they receive a goodie bag and get their pictures taken with their officer and Santa.

Volunteer opportunities at Meet and Greet Location - Registration, pair officers and children, hand out gifts to police officers/shirts for children.
Volunteer opportunities at Target Location - Hand out goodie bags, help photographer with coordinating pictures, etc.
