Pages On Pine, located at 2355 S. Pine Street (next to Skate Palace) is looking for volunteers to help open and operate our store at 2355 S. Church Street. Shifts would be 10 a.m. to noon. Volunteers will meet and greet customers, learn how to run the register, help put books on shelves. We also need folks to be substitutes on Saturdays, opening the store at noon and closing it at 4 p.m. This is a busy store with lots of repeat customers who love our friendly volunteer staff.
Pages Downtown Library Store is a book store and gift shop. Our store, located inside Headquarters Library at 151 S. Church Street, is a wonderful place for people to find some unique gifts that were made right here in Spartanburg. Our current needs are for volunteers who can work Tuesdays 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.; Thursdays 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. We would also love to be open on Saturdays and would need several volunteers to help operate the store from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Mission Statement
The Friends of the Library is a nonprofit group that advocates for public libraries. Some of the ways the Friends help are by raising funds to enhance programs, helping with public book sales and offering speakers in the Dennis L. Bruce Author Series, promoting the Libraries in the community and staying informed about libraries' needs. The group has two nonprofit used book stores that operate daily with the help of volunteers.
Description
Pages On Pine and Pages Downtown Library Store are the two Friends of the Library books stores in Spartanburg. Pages On Pine, which opened its doors in 2011, is located at 2355 S. Pine Street and is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 12 to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. We currently have approximately 20 volunteers that help keep the store operating. Pages Downtown Library Store is located inside the Headquarters Library at 151 S. Church Street and operates 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Both stores are fundraisers for the Friends and with the help of our wonderful volunteers have been successful in providing money for numerous library programs and activities.
