The Eda and Cliff Viner Community Scholars Foundation supports students in our community achieve their collegiate dreams. Alongside the foundations financial support of students, we also have a robust mentoring program in which people form our community team up with our scholars to support, guide and mentor them throughout their degrees.
We are seeing volunteers willing to listen, share their insight and grow with a Viner Scholar. We take volunteers as mentors from all walks of life and professions. Each volunteer is paired with a scholar based on similarities in backgrounds, career fields or personalities. The students are tasked with reaching out to their assigned mentor 2-4 times per month while in school.
**Must be able to pass a background check and attend an Introductory Training.

Description
The Viner Community Scholars Foundation believes that with the help of our community we can change the projection of students life. We do this by awarding 25-30 4 year last dollar scholarships to students graduating from Boca or Delray Beach High Schools. To qualify, each student must graduate with at least a 3.0 unweighted GPA, complete over 100 hours of community service, be attending a Florida public univeristy or college and display significant financial need. Alongside our scholarships, we also have a robust mentorship program in which each student is matched with a mentor of similar backgrounds, career fields or personalities. As part of the scholarship, each student is required to reach out to heir mentors at least once a week or every other week. We also have over 20 local, community service agencies that provide various, medical, legal and counseling services to our scholars for their full 4 years of school. We currently have over 99 students actively pursuing their degrees!
