Mass Hort's annual Festival of Trees and Snow Village at Elm Bank in Wellesley/Dover is a delight to visitors of all ages during the holiday season. This year, our 10th annual Festival of Trees and Snow Village runs from the day after Thanksgiving, November 23, through Sunday, December 9th.
The Festival of Trees, displayed in the historic Hunnewell Carriage House, offers beautifully decorated holiday trees that are donated and decorated by local businesses, garden clubs, and individuals. Visitors "vote" with their raffle tickets, in hopes of being a tree winner at the end of the festival. There are Santa visits, horse-drawn wagon rides on weekends and plenty of other activities planned.
The west wing of the Education Building is the home of Snow Village, which was generously donated by Bill Meagher of Needham. Model trains wind their way through villages and vignettes. Fenway Park is featured as well as a ski mountain, Santa in the sky, an amusement park, New England and Dickensian villages and much, much more.
This event, Mass Hort's largest fundraiser, would not be possible without the help of generous volunteers.
This year, we need volunteers to help us check in donated trees, decorate the Hunnewell Carriage House, collect admission fees, register raffle tickets, walk the floor and mind the trains. As a volunteer, you get a fascinating look at the show behind the scenes, meet new people, help our mission-supporting fundraiser, and share in the delight and enjoyment of our visitors. We hope you will join us to welcome our visitors and make this year's Festival the most successful year yet!

All of the admission and raffle fees of this holiday event directly benefit the operations and mission of Mass Hort, a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit organization.
