The Purple Hanger Resale Shoppe is a partner of Safe Harbor Family Crisis Center. All of the profits from the Purple Hanger go directly to Safe Harbor to aid in domestic violence programs for their clients.
Purple Hanger volunteers help with sorting donations, pricing, and shelving/hanging the merchandise. Volunteers may also learn to run the cash register. Other duties include light housekeeping and keeping the inventory organized.

The mission of Safe Harbor Family Crisis Center is to support and respond to the needs of survivors of domestic violence and their dependents in the effort to avoid further abuse.
Description
Safe Harbor Family Crisis Center provides:
- 24 hour crisis hotline services,
- safe temporary shelter to domestic violence victims and their dependents
- advocacy including legal advocacy, emotional support, group support, children's programs transportation, information and referrals
- safety planning and community resources
These services are provided free of charge in a non-judgemental manner, regardless of age, sex, race, religion, ethnicity, financial circumstances, sexual orientation and past or present social problems.
