November and December are our busiest months at Northwest Harvest, and we're presently seeking extra volunteers to help out at our Cherry Street Food Bank. Volunteers at the food bank help distribute food on our grocery line, sort donations and repack staples-beans, rice, pasta and oats-into family-sized portions. Our greatest need is for our midday shift (11:45am-3:00pm) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

We do ask volunteers at attend an orientation with us prior to their first shift, and this must be scheduled in advance. Upcoming orientations are:

Tuesday, November 6, 10am-11am
Thursday, November 15, 3pm-4pm
Tuesday, December 4, 10am-11am

Our minimum age for volunteers is 9 years of age, and volunteers between 9-15 years must have a parent or guardian volunteer alongside them. We also welcome volunteer groups of 8 or less.
