The SFVACC is searching for dedicated volunteers for their Volunteer Docent Program

The time has come for the SFVACC to seek trained docents who will provide knowledgeable information to both visitors and people inquiring information via the telephone.

  • Volunteer docents can select the days and shift times they want
  • Shifts are 11:00 am - 2:00 pm or 2:00 -5:00 pm
  • Able to open and close the SFVACC
  • No computer skills necessary
  • Friendly face to greet visitors
  • Write up receipts for any sold art or gift shop items.
  • Adria Becker is our new Director and she will be handling the scheduling for the volunteer docent program. She can be reached at adria@sfvacc.org.
  • Must live within 10 miles of the SFVACC
  • This is predominately a desk job in a quiet venue
  • Training is necessary. A docent notebook will be given to volunteers.
Open Tuesday - Saturday, 11:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Description

The San Fernando Valley Arts & Cultural Center (SFVACC) came about when need for a more unified and powerful umbrella organization for the Valley arts organizations became apparent. The SFVACC merges a number of these well-established, Valley based arts organizations and creates a collaboration that will bring together over 1,000 artists for the purpose of consolidating their respective resources, talent, membership and fundamental knowledge of exhibiting and performing arts in the San Fernando Valley.

This "Project Space" includes an art gallery, space for meetings and workshops, space for private parties, concerts and community events.
