Do you desire to help women experiencing abuse? Are you great at facilitating groups? Do you desire to make a difference in the lives of others that need support? If so, we would love to speak with you about becoming a Jail Support Group facilitator. The jail support group is held at the Shakopee Law Enforcement Center. This group meets every Wednesday from 3:30 - 5:00 pm.
We request that facilitators commit to a minimum of 6 months. This support group take place once a week in Shakopee at the Law Enforcement Center and lasts 1.5 hours per week from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm. Volunteers must pass a criminal background check, complete the Jail Orientation including PREA training, and attend an orientation/training in Belle Plaine, MN. Quarterly facilitator conference calls are required as well as attendance at Quarterly in-service trainings.
