Join a unique community of young people and adults who create, invent, and explore together using the latest in technology. Clubhouse Mentors vary in age, background, interests and skills and do not have to be an expert in technology or youth development. Clubhouse @ EXPO provides ongoing training and resources to ensure you have the skills and resources to support Clubhouse members.
Mentors help youth express themselves through technology with access to industry level hardware & software, video & audio suites, a makerspace, and an engineering lab.
Clubhouse mentors focus on developing relationships. Successful mentors understand the importance of establishing relationships based on respect and trust. Mentors are mutual learners; Clubhouse mentors sometimes lead, but they often follow, as they know it’s empowering for young people to teach others.

Mission Statement
The mission of The Friends of EXPO Center is to assist at-risk youth, families and seniors at EXPO Center supporting the cultural, educational, and recreational programs at this vital community resource through fundraising, leadership, and advocacy.
Description
We are a nonprofit organization that supports educational, recreational, and cultural programs at EXPO Center, a City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks facility that serves at-risk youth, families and seniors in South Los Angeles. Our work benefits one of the most densely populated and economically challenged communities in Los Angeles and accommodates over 1 million participant visits annually.
We raise funds from foundations, corporations and individuals, and strategically direct these resources to support innovative recreational and multifaceted educational and cultural programs at EXPO Center. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, EXPO Center is able to offer critical enrichment programs for at-risk youth, families and seniors - none of which would be possible without this financial support.
