LEGO WeDo is a hands-on STEM solution that combines the LEGO brick, classroom-friendly software, engaging standards-based projects, and a discovery-based approach. Designed with collaboration in mind, We Do, introduces members to computational thinking and engineering principles in a fun and engaging way.

Elementary teaching solutions help lay the foundation for lifelong learning. The hands-on learning ignites children’s natural desire to explore and discover. Students will learn subjects like math, science, technology, and engineering more effectively while improving and developing their 21st-century skills, like problem-solving, collaboration and communication. We welcome volunteers 14+ and in small groups.

Participate in the Lego Mindstorm Challenge with us!
We meet once a week at the El Toro Clubhouse in Morgan Hill.

Mission Statement

To inspire and empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Description

At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley, we have been enriching the lives of children in the Santa Clara Valley for more than six decades. By providing access to innovative programs, inspiring leaders and an enlightened perspective on life, we help children overcome boundaries and achieve their dreams.

Founded in 1944, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley (BGCSV) is an affiliate member of the Boys & Girls Club of America, and currently serves over 3,000 members, ages 6 to 18, at 9 facilities throughout the San Jose area.

Our target population in the City of San Jose is at-risk youth ages 6 to 18 that are vulnerable to influences from gangs and other negative pressures that would adversely affect their abilities to become successful adults.
