Mental Health Support for Military/Veterans & Loved Ones
Become a Give an Hour Provider:
Volunteer Providers are licensed mental health professionals who set aside one session per week for one year for a free client in the populations of their choice, starting with the military population. Services may be provided by phone, in person or using HIPAA compliant telehealth platform (provided at no charge).
Providers simply sign up on our website as ready and available to assist someone when the need arises. Not all mental health professionals will have a client all year, and not all providers choose to give therapy hours as their time! Many different types of providers sign up to work with GAH, but all must be licensed to provide therapy.
In addition to direct counseling, Give an Hour’s providers work to reduce the stigma associated with mental health treatment and encourage care for our mental well-being and the mental well-being of others.
The commitment is flexible and Give an Hour works with you to ensure you are receiving the information, training and tools to be successful including:
- Free Continuing Education
- Free and discounted tools such as Therapy Notes, ReGroup Therapy virtual platform, listing on major referral sources
- Free opportunities to connect with experts and professionals in your area of interest
