Open Paths is a community counseling center that serves under and uninsured people in Los Angeles by providing culturally sensitive, trauma-informed psychotherapy. We serve both child and adult clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, loss, stress, relationship issues, and family violence. Clients who struggle with severe mental illness are outside of our scope of work.
After almost thirty years, our incredible consulting psychiatrist retired. During his tenure with Open Paths, he provided monthly one-hour trainings / consultations to our team of pre-licensed clinicians on topics he felt were relevant to community mental health. He also generously saw a limited number of referred clients at a deeply reduced rate.
We are currently seeking to a consulting psychiatrist who is passionate about access to quality mental health for all and who is interested in sharing their knowledge and wisdom with new clinicians who are working on the front lines in providing psychotherapy to low income, under-resourced communities.
If you are willing to spend 1 hour a month with us (on a Thursday of your choice between 1:30 - 2:30), you will find yourself becoming part of an amazing team that will appreciate your generosity of time and knowledge and will likely refer clients to you as they develop private practices of their own.
