Become a Community Health Educator with the American Red Cross to increase life-saving blood donations. Help Save Lives, One Donation at a Time is a community initiative supported by the American Red Cross Nursing Network aimed at encouraging first-time donors, donors of diverse backgrounds and 'right type mix’ blood donations while decreasing donor anxiety and stress. As an educator, you would be conducting this presentation in the community at locations with upcoming blood drives.
No experience needed! We are seeking anyone interested in becoming an educator, including health professionals and students. Training is provided at the Oakland Blood Center (6230 Claremont Ave., Oakland, CA 94618). Presentations are about 20-30 minutes, and usually during business hours.
