The mission of Gardens Buffalo Niagara (GBN) is to create more vibrant and beautiful communities by sharing our gardens. GBN harnesses the power of gardening as a tool to promote better social connectedness and neighborhood beautification. GBN seeks to educate, inspire, and connect neighbors. To attain these goals, the organization does active and diverse work in the Buffalo Niagara region, year-round. GBN’s capstone program, Garden Walk Buffalo, welcomes 60,000-70,000 visitors each year to Buffalo’s West Side, highlighting the hard work of more than 400 gardeners and the beauty of the city of Buffalo. It is the largest garden festival in the nation, dating back to 1993.

The Volunteer Coordinator is a volunteer position designed for the natural networker and big-picture person. This is a chance to get to know some of our community’s most innovative gardening programs, through pairing them with excited volunteers. This opportunity is best for someone with strong communication skills who loves motivating others and helping them grow.
