Sanderford Road Community Center is looking for volunteer Robotics Instructors for their new Robotics Program. We would supply the kits and the curriculum, volunteers would help with leading the classes.

Robotics Program Description: Using an Ozobot Bit kit to get kids coding and loving robots with the stroke of a marker. Ozobot programming is done by simply drawing lines and using colors. Kids use their creativity and artistic expression, while developing logical reasoning and in turn, actually learning high level coding concepts.

Volunteer Impact: Volunteers will be using there talents in engineering and/or technology to instruct youth for the community to learn how to code and shape the next generation.

Volunteer Schedule: The program is looking to start in January and will be every Wednesday night from 5 pm - 6 pm. More information about the time commitment can be given to you by the coordinator.

Work Environment: This class will be taught inside. It is geared towards youth, so instructor must like working with kids. There is a restroom on site.

Volunteer Requirements: Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. Volunteers will need to submit an application (different than the one online), and pass a background check to participate.

Special Instructions: We will provide the kits as well as the curriculum. Dress Casual.

**Registration as a volunteer is first come, first served. If interested in registering a group, please email mary.owens@raleighnc.gov . We require a list of names and their email addresses to hold spots for groups.*

Per department policy this event cannot count towards court-appointed or suggested community service hours.
