If you have experience training dogs and have interest in working with dogs from rescues, you might have a place with us. Our trainers use only positive reinforcement techniques. Our volunteer trainers use their training experience to train dogs specifically selected for WI Veterans that have applied for our program.
All training expenses including mileage are paid for by our local Pets for Vets Madison Chapter. Weare part of a national program and are one of two chapters in Wisconsin.

Mission Statement
Pets for Vets changes the lives of Veterans and rescued pets.
Description
Pets for Vets program is open to any U.S. Veteran who lives in one of our chapter areas and is able to take care of a pet. Our volunteer trainers work one on one with our Veteran applicants to find the right companion animal. All costs associated with finding and training the best companion animal are paid for by the local Pets for Vets chapter.
