EVENT DESCRIPTION:

Volunteer to help out at Let's Get Ready's 8th Annual New England Gala. Let's Get Ready is a college access and success organization helping students get to and through college. This annual cocktail-style gala celebrates the accomplishments of Let's Get Ready students and assists to raise operating funds for the organization to support their programming for students.

WHAT WE'LL BE DOING:

One Brick Boston volunteers will be helping with logistical tasks at the gala including registration of guests and assisting with the Silent Auction.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:

NOTE: This event is wheelchair accessible and is able to accommodate volunteers with disabilities. If you require any accommodations, please let the event manager know, so we can work with the nonprofit hosting the event to make necessary accommodations. Thank you!

WHERE TO MEET:

Please meet at the Wharf Room at the Boston Harbor Hotel located at 70 Rowes Wharf in Boston at 5:15pm. If you are running late, please let the One Brick Boston event manager know.

The closest MBTA stops are South Station on the Red and Silver Lines, Downtown Crossing on the Red and Orange Lines, and Aquarium on the Blue Line. Parking is available at the hotel and a number of area garages but can be expensive.

LET'S GET READY: Let's Get Ready provides low-income high school students with free SAT preparation, admissions counseling and other support services needed to gain admission to and graduate from college. Trained college student volunteers deliver these services and offer encouragement, inspiration and confidence.
