NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness, especially those with serious mental illness. NAMI advocates for effective prevention, diagnosis, treatment, support, research and recovery that improves the quality of life of persons of all ages who are affected by mental illness.
NAMI Miami is looking for social media savvy college students to post on Facebook, Linkdin and Twitter showcasing NAMI's three fundamental goals:

The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Miami-Dade County is an affiliate of the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. Approximately 1 in 5 Americans will experience a mental illness in a given year, yet only 41% will receive the mental health services they need and deserve. In advocating for the understanding of the complexity of mental health and expelling myths, educating the public, and showing support for the many people affected by mental illness that are working to improve their lives, NAMI Miami-Dade County offers free, safe, and confidential mental health support, education, and advocacy to peers and their families and friends throughout the county in both English and Spanish.
