The Drop-in Center greeter is the smiling face that people see when they first arrive. The opportunity involves welcoming, assisting with participant's paperwork and signing in, maintaining logs, giving tours of the Drop-in Center and assisting with other miscellaneous tasks as they may arise.

The NAMI Drop-in Center is a peer-run center offering free socialization, life skills, recovery through the arts programming, job placement and volunteer opportunities for individuals living with a mental health condition. The purpose of the Drop-in Center is to assist in breaking down isolation, improving independent life skills, finding employment and giving back to others as part of a mental health recovery plan.

The Drop-in Center is open 7 days a week, including holidays. Shift times are flexible during our hours of operation.
M/W/F 1pm - 7pm
T/Th 3pm - 7pm
Sat/Sn - 2pm-6pm

NAMI Metro Suburban is an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. We are a grassroots family and consumer self-help support, education and advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of people, families and communities affected by mental illness in the western suburbs of Cook County. NAMI Metro Suburban is one of 900 affiliates nationwide.
