GIRLS OF TRANSFORMATION MENTORING PROGRAM (GOT) is a is a 501(c)3, faith-based, charitable organization that serves girls between the ages of 8-18 who are exhibiting at risk behaviors that could take a negative effect on their lives. We provide group mentoring, one on one mentoring, life skills training, career readiness, financial literacy, biblical truth for teen, etiquette, power pack workshops for both the parents and youth, afterschool program, summer program, parenting program, and a Saturday program.
GOT is seeking (5) high school or college students to volunteer part-time to tutor and help students with their homework for our Girls with Purpose After School Program. The ideal volunteers will assist Lead Teacher in every capacity which includes helping students with their homework, light tutoring, and providing academic instructions to students in grades K-8, peer youth mentoring, and assist with academic and enrichment activities. Students must be proficient in English and Math with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Our afterschool program hours are Monday-Friday from 2:00-6:00pm. We can be flexible with your schedule. Our volunteers must be a positive role model. Must be able to pass background check if working more than 10 hours a month and available to start Monday, August 19, 2019.Volunteers will receive volunteer hours for all services rendered on our professional letter head and a professional reference letter. Volunteers will have the opportunity to volunteer for our other programs with the possibility to be hired part-time. Our other programs are our Girls with Purpose Summer Mentorship Program and our 15 Week Saturday Girls with Purpose Mentorship Program.
We're currently seeking 5 mature high school or college students that demonstrates the following organization characteristics neat and professional appearance, honest, punctual, reliable, knowledgeable, energetic, kind, positive attitude, and creative. A qualified volunteer will demonstrate passion for students to learn and excel academically.

Our mentoring program focus on providing the following services: one on one and group mentoring, life skills, substance and drug abuse awareness, pregnancy prevention, intensive workshop sessions, leadership training, teen & parent workshops, community engagement, parenting workshop, health & nutrition, etiquette, and career development.
