A special type of Art teacher needed who will utilize art as a treatment/rehabilitative tool to redirect negative behavior in an inmate population. Emphasis on creativity and enhancing the talents of incarcerated artists and on providing a stress free environment. Small stipend available for accredited instructors. Meet once a week for about six weeks, supplies will be provided. Spanish speaking a plus. Must be security conscious and keep track of supplies.

 To draw upon the skills, abilities and commitment of members of the community willing to volunteer their time to address the needs of men and women incarcerated in Anne Arundel County’s correctional facilities. With willing hands, fresh views, and open minds, volunteers support the Department’s mission by enhancing services, which provide inmates with the tools necessary to successfully re-enter the community and lead law-abiding lives.



To provide for the public’s safety through the confinement of pre-trial detainees and convicted offenders in safe and secure facilities, and by offering alternatives to incarceration and re-entry services which are comprehensive and effective.
