Providence Marathon
A DREAMFAR mentor and her student cross the finish line together at the Cox Providence Marathon.

Dreamfar High School Marathon (DHSM) is a nonprofit organization that challenges at-risk youth to reach their full potential--socially, emotionally, physically, and academically--through a mentor-supported marathon training program. Mentors meet with their students Saturday mornings (November-May) and provide support and encouragement in their training for the Providence Marathon. DHSM is currently seeking volunteer mentors who are able to run/walk a 12 min/mile pace or slower. All mentors will receive professional certified marathon coaching and will have access to a nutritionist and physical therapist. Please contact Kate Russell, kate@dreamfarhsm.org, for more information on how to get involved.

As New England’s first marathon training program, we’ve helped over 200 students from seven different high schools in the greater Boston area realize their true potential through running.
