The coastal prairie ecosystem once dominated the Houston landscape. It is an important habitat for a lot of wildlife, but unfortunately less than 1% of this ecosystem remains. On Saturday, November 10th from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm help us plant native grasses and flowers in our restored coastal prairie to give the birds, butterflies, and amphibians a home. We will provide all the tools and training. Please bring protective clothing, bug spray, water, and a planting attitude.

Register by emailing Jacob.Poinsett@tpwd.texas.gov or by calling us at (281)456-2800 ext. 230.
