We are looking for a small group of dedicated volunteers to join us in gardening and environmental stewardship activites along the Gowanus Canal! The team will meet on Friday mornings from 9:30am-12pm to do activities such as planting, propagating, weeding, and watering in our native plant nursery and stewardship space.
Additionally, the Gardening and Stewardship Team will have opportunities to engage in discussions with Gowanus Canal Conservancy staff about topics specifically related to the Gowanus Canal.
The Gardening and Stewardship Team is a wonderful opportunity to build community around making a positive environmental impact, as well as to learn more about the Gowanus Canal, a waterway whose vibrant ecology is often overlooked and misunderstood.
