Work one-on-one with our dogs and puppies. Play with them outside (depending on age/vaccine status). Help with behavioral training that involves proper leash manners, not jumping, or just basic commands. Many dogs simply appreciate 'down time’, where they get to just lay in your lap.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Forsyth County Animal Shelter is to provide responsive, efficient and high quality animal care and control services, to preserve and protect animal and public safety, and to maximize the placement of adoptable animals.
Description
We are a relatively new shelter that opened in 2014. Currently we only intake about 1400 to 1800 animals a year but expect to see those numbers grow in the near future. We are looking for a range of volunteers to help with everything from cleaning to animal enrichment to social media. We are hoping to find passionate people with the skills to help us provide the best possible care for our animals.
