We are seeking a volunteer Fund Development professional with expertise in Fundraising, Grantwriting, Major Donor cultivation and Donor stewardship to help our theatre company achieve true sustainability. This position would be especially good for a retired professional.

This volunteer will work with our Executive Director and Board Chair to develop and implement a fund development plan. Hours are extremely flexible and working independently and remotely is expected.

There is the potential for this to evolve into a paid position once a minimum funding stream is firmly established.

About ENCORE THEATRE GROUP

Location:

3555 LOMITA BLVD STE E, TORRANCE, CA 90505, US

Mission Statement

ENCORE is a non-profit educational theatre company that seeks to build community and to transform lives by providing high quality, intensive musical and non-musical theatre training, as well as theatrical performances of all kinds in the South Bay and Los Angeles Harbor areas. We envision a community in which all youth and adult performers, as well as the public at large, have access to transformative theater experiences

Description

At ENCORE, our efforts go beyond the development of theatrically skilled people. We recognize that our performers are more than the next big stars; they are the teachers, doctors, community leaders, entrepreneurs, police officers, and parents of today and tomorrow. It is our goal to ensure they carry into the world the openness, self-confidence, supportive attitudes and team mindset that they learn with us. Putting on great quality theatrical performances is but one happy by-product of our core effort and a natural outgrowth of the respect our performers have for themselves, their mentors and peers, as well as for the art of theatre.
