Make a difference - become a volunteer teacher!
The Community Center is seeking volunteer teachers to help Spanish-speaking adults who want to improve their basic skills in the English language. The program serves adult literacy students and involves a commitment of three hours per week. Teachers work with a group of 5 to 15 students. The curriculum is based on the Ventures book. Classes are held at our Community Center located at 914 8th Street, Waukegan.
Teachers are scheduled for Tuesdays or Thursdays from 6 - 7:30 pm. Previous teaching experience and/or bilingual a plus.
