RING TO WIN!!!!

You know those bells you hear every year when The Salvation Army starts bellringing? Did you know that you can do that as a volunteer? As a volunteer bell ringer you help raise funds for vital programs that go right back to our community like feeding the hungry and giving a homeless person a place to sleep.

This year The Salvation Army is giving back to our volunteers who give so much. Each time you ring at a participating Red Kettle you can enter our Ring To Win volunteer competition for the chance to win a family vacation for 2 adults and 2 kids to Legoland and the San Diego Zoo, or 2 nights for 2 adults at the beautiful Fairmont Heritage Place.

It's literally as easy as ringing the bell and putting a slip in the Red Kettle. The more times you ring, the more chance you have to win. Get the entry form and rules of the competition at https://goldenstate.salvationarmy.org/golden_state_division/ring-to-win.

Grab your friends and family and adopt a red kettle for a day. Dress up in holiday clothes, ugly sweaters, Santa hats etc, bring some music and run a shift or two. The funds you raise will go directly back into the community you are ringing in and can make a difference all year round.

Visit WWW.RINGFORCHANGE.COM to select locations, dates and shifts.

Have fun giving back these holidays and make a real difference in your community.

Description

The Salvation Army was established in London in 1865, and since 1883 has been serving the San Francisco Bay Area, offering practical support, spiritual comfort and a critical safety net to people in need. The safety net is funded in part by donations from the Red Kettle Campaign which started in San Francisco in 1891. Nearly 600,000 San Franciscans receive assistance from the Army annually through a range of social services; clothing and shelter for the homeless, food for the hungry, opportunities for underprivileged children, alcohol rehabilitation, transitional housing, nutritional and housing support for seniors and relief for disaster survivors. For every dollar donated to The Salvation Army, 82 cents is used to support those services in the 16 facilities throughout San Francisco and South San Francisco communities.
