The Preparedness Division provides appropriate preparedness programming within a community to assist community members to prepare for home fires and other disasters.
The purpose of this volunteer position is to lead and build the capacity of team members to implement preparedness programming.
The Preparedness Team Leader is responsible for supporting and engaging the members assigned to the preparedness team, which includes assigning presentations and local preparedness activities to team members in your operating area according to the relevant activities and programs offered there: i.e. Home Fire Campaign, The Pillowcase Project, or Community Preparedness Education Programs. Projects may include tasks such as leading preparedness events, meeting with partners to build relationships, conducting inventory, supporting reporting efforts, and procuring or receiving preparedness supplies.
