Externship Program Description

The Girls Inc. Externship Program is designed to give sophomore and junior high school girls the opportunity to explore career options and prepare for college. After a series of school-year sessions from January-June and a 40-hour training week at the end of June to prepare the girls for summer externships, girls are placed at various businesses and organizations within Orange County to complete 80-hour summer internships. A few past host companies have included: Edwards Lifesciences, Blizzard Entertainment, Grand Central Art Center, Rutan and Tucker and many more.
