In the position of Nursing Call Light Volunteer, you will be an integral team member of the Fargo VA Health Care System's acute care inpatient unit. You will be able to honor and give back to Veterans by being their first point of contact when they activate their nursing call light. Some of the duties of this position include:
1. Transporting wheelchair patients and residents from the unit to various clinics and diagnostic treatment areas with in the medical center.
2. Checking outdates on supplies stocked outside the supply room.
3. Assisting with nourishments.
4. Assisting with turning over inpatient rooms.
5. Gathering supplies and needed items for nursing staff.
6. Stocking supplies.
7. Providing companionship to Veterans by listening, reading, playing music, etc.
