The Preparedness Division provides appropriate preparedness programming within a community to assist
community members to prepare for home fires and other disasters. This position is responsible for supporting
and engaging the volunteer members assigned to the preparedness team, which includes ensuring assigned volunteers are provided with outstanding support and management.
Save lives and prevent injury by providing leadership and support to a team of Red Cross Disaster Cycle Services volunteers through the Home Fire Campaign program delivery within a specific focus area. Focus areas for team leaders includes volunteer leadership for a specific free smoke alarm installation program or event. The Home Fire Campaign program includes smoke alarm installations and educating residents on fire prevention and emergency preparedness.
