If you're a young adult (18-35) who is comfortably navigating your recovery journey from a mental health condition, your experience and story can be incredibly inspiring and uplifting to others. NAMI Vermont invites you to join as an "Ending the Silence" presenter, where you can make a profound impact on communities throughout Vermont.
As an "Ending the Silence" presenter, you'll engage with middle and high school students through a 50-minute presentation, educating them about the symptoms and warning signs of mental health conditions, and providing valuable information on how to support oneself, friends, or family members. The presentation format includes a leader who delivers the educational content and a young adult who shares their personal recovery journey.
NAMI Vermont offers self-paced, online training for volunteers. As a volunteer, you'll commit to at least one year of service. Each presentation session is compensated at $50, and if your role requires travel, your mileage will be reimbursed.
If you're ready to make a difference and use your voice to reshape perceptions and foster understanding about mental health, register to become an "Ending the Silence" presenter at https://namivt.org/form/?type=Training&training=Ending+the+Silence+Presenter+Training.
