Join IRC and the City of Delray Beach as we hold our 6th restoration volunteer day at the Lake ida Parcel, a greenspace located just north of Lake Ida Park. We will be planting a wide variety of native plants and continuing to open up the area through invasive plant removal. This project is funded by a grant from the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties.

Thank you to everyone who has come out to our previous 5 events! We have made great progress at the site and are excited for what else we can accomplish at our final event of the year!

We will meet at the Lake Ida Boat ramp at 9 am and shuttle volunteers to the site via boat. We will provide gloves, tools and light refreshments.

About The Institute for Regional Conservation

Location:

100 East Linton Boulevard, Suite 302B, Delray Beach, FL 33483, US

Mission Statement

A private non-profit organization, The Institute for Regional Conservation (IRC) is dedicated to the protection, restoration, and long-term management of biodiversity on a regional basis, and to the prevention of regional extinctions of rare plants, animals and ecosystems.

Description

Based in Florida, USA, IRC works on conservation research and action throughout South Florida, the Caribbean and beyond. Our work is premised on an innovative idea of conservation that seeks to protect and restore viable populations of all plant and animal species within a region, rather than simply focusing on charismatic animals or plants with narrow global ranges.
