I am starting a group for anyone interested in coming into the office to make blankets, hats, gloves, scarves, etc for hospice patients. I am looking for several ladies and/or men who are wanting to get together at a location in South Dayton area to work on items 1 day a week on an ongoing basis. Medicare requires hospice's to have volunteer hours and what better way to obtain these hours while you're making special gifts for the patients. Hospice will provide the location, coffee and snacks each week.

Kindred Hospice provides the highest quality of care. We treat everyone with respect and dignity. We acknowledge and embrace religious, ethnic and cultural diversity. Kindred Hospice offers a team approach to deal with the physical, emotional, spiritual and social impact of the disease on the patient, family and friends.
An individualized plan of care is developed and updated every visit to meet the needs of each patient and family. The team includes the patient, family, doctor, nurse, nurses aides, medical social worker, clergy and volunteers. We are available 24/7. We also offer bereavement counseling to the family for up to one year following the death of their loved one.
