he Ready to Read! program provides academic support to K-5 refugee students with a focus on improving literacy skills. We are seeking volunteers who are available a few hours per week to help facilitate literacy activities and work with small groups of students under the supervision of IRC staff.
The Ready to Read! afters school program runs Monday-Thursday from 3-4:30pm. After school tutors commit to at least 1 day/week. Program begins November 2018.

Each year, the IRC provides support to thousands of refugees resettling as well as immigrants and survivors of human trafficking in 29 U.S. cities - including SeaTac and Spokane, WA - through housing assistance, case management and referral services, job readiness and placement, English language training, community and cultural orientation, health and wellness programs, immigration services and other community integration activities.
