Safe + Sound Somerset is in search of dynamic and innovative members for its Board of Trustees. If you are a person looking leverage your skills, resources and network to help women, men and children thrive in a life free from violence, Safe + Sound Somerset is a great fit. Individuals with a background in commercial real estate, financial forecasting, human resources and/or marketing are especially needed to realize our long terms goals to end domestic abuse once and for all.
Safe + Sound Somerset, the lead organization for domestic violence in Somerset County for 40 years, specializes in progressive trauma informed services and community engagement to empower survivors of domestic abuse and engage the community to break the cycle of violence. Safe + Sound Somerset needs strong leaders interested in helping us launch the organization to the next level and our mission into the 21 st century.

Description
Safe+Sound Somerset was founded more than 35 years ago, when a small group of volunteers decided that they wanted to help survivors of domestic abuse find safety, heal and establish a life free from abuse.
To this day, we continue to rely on dedicated volunteers to achieve our mission.
Safe+Sound Somerset provides all volunteers with 40 hours of training.
