Reference/Research Assistant needed in the Jane Sween Research Library located next to the Beall Dawson Museum in Historic Rockville. Will assist patrons with reference service and research needs; perform research on assigned topics. Dewey decimal experience preferred; ability to work with the public. Experience in working in libraries preferred. Wed-Friday 10-4 and Saturdays 12-4. Working knowledge of Montgomery County preferred.

The Montgomery County Historical Society ( MCHS) is dedicated to encouraging the County's residents and the public at large to discover their common heritage. Description
The Montgomery County Historical Society (MCHS) strives to highlight the role of history as a vital part of the cultural and social fabric of Montgomery County. Montgomery County has experienced significant growth in the past sixty five years and the Montgomery County Historical Society has grown as well. Since its founding in 1944, MCHS has moved from an all volunteer organization to one boasting over 1,400 members, a professional staff and hundreds of supportive and dedicated volunteers.
