Grant Writing Fellow
Program Overview
Project C.U.R.E.'s Grant Writing Fellow Program provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in grant writing and learn about global healthcare and the non-profit sector at our International Headquarters Office in Centennial, Colorado. Opportunities also exist in our other locations, Phoenix, Nashville, Chicago, Philadelphia, Houston and remotely.
Personal and Professional Development
Grant Writing Fellows develop both professionally and personally as their contributions advance Project C.U.R.E.'s mission. The Grant Writing Fellow has ownership of the complete task cycle of grant seeking from researching funding sources to writing the proposal, with supervisor’s support and guidance.
Project C.U.R.E.'s Grant Writing Fellow Program is a professional level opportunity requiring a minimum of 6 month commitment from program participants.
Scope and Responsibilities
- Research for private and foundation funders for multiple and varied global healthcare projects.
- Develop grant proposals, working under the supervision of a staff member, for strengthening health care systems in resource-limited regions of the world.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, excellent academic writing skills.
- Knowledge research methods, project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office Suite.
- Cultural sensitivity and competency.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Compensation
Project C.U.R.E.'s Grant Writing Fellowship is unpaid. Participants in our program receive substantial work experience in global healthcare grant research and proposal writing.

Project C.U.R.E. (Commission on Urgent Relief and Equipment) is the registered trademark of the Benevolent Healthcare Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. Since 1987, Project C.U.R.E. has provided millions of dollars of donated medical supplies and equipment to sick and dying people living in more than 138 developing countries. Project C.U.R.E. serves as a liaison between we who have so much and those who have too little. With its International Headquarters located in Centennial, Colorado, Project C.U.R.E. has major operations in Denver, Chicago, Houston, Kansas City, Nashville, Mid-Atlantic (Philadelphia) and Phoenix. Project C.U.R.E. ships millions of dollars in lifesaving medical supplies, sending an average of two to three semi-truck sized cargo containers each week to nearly every continent on the globe.
