Compassionate Care Hospice

Compassionate Care Hospice is seeking caring individuals and their certified pets to make social visits to our terminally ill patients. You and your furry friend would visit patients in their homes and facilities. The visits provide companionship, relieve boredom and also brings joy to the staff in the facilities.

Your animal will need to be certified through a licensed pet therapy organization which there is several in the area. We also have a great training program for you the handlers that will prepare you for these visits. The first visit you are accompanied by the volunteer coordinator as well as given support throughout your volunteer career.

The time commitment is 1-3 hours a month as a minimum and we do require background checks and TB testing which we provide.
